NASCAR apparently had an independent laboratory analyze the urine sample that led to Jeremy Mayfield's suspension for a failed drug test.
Court documents filed by NASCAR on Monday night show that MedTox Laboratories in Minnesota tested two specimens last week.
Both the results and the name of the person whose urine was tested are blacked out, but the filing is in response to Mayfield's lawsuit to have his suspension lifted.
NASCAR and Mayfield are due in U.S. District Court on Wednesday. Mayfield wants a judge to reinstate him in time to race this weekend at Daytona. He's been suspended since May 9.
