After a little more than a year of freedom, Welton Miles is heading back to prison for six years after pleading guilty to four felonies connected to a large-scale drug-selling operation.

Welton Miles pleaded guilty to four felony drug charges.

Miles, 38, of Buffalo, was paroled in October 2015 from the sentence he received on his November 2011 convictions for attempted murder and assault. He was arrested 15 months later, in January 2017, when members of the Erie County Sheriff's Office and Buffalo Police narcotics units raided a home on Stewart Avenue and recovered nearly 500 packets of narcotics -- including fentanyl and fentanyl mixed with cocaine -- along with other drugs and paraphernalia in the house and in Miles' car.

Miles pleaded guilty in March in Erie County Court to four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Judge Michael Pietruszka ordered six-year prison terms on each count, to run concurrently, followed by three years post-release supervision.
