Bail is set at $100,000 each for two men who allegedly had a handgun and over 20 grams each of meth and fentanyl in their possession when a Napavine police officer stopped them for expired registration on Sunday.
The driver, identified as Doyle D. Camille, 43, was arrested during the traffic stop for driving with a revoked driver's license. The passenger, identified as Bobby D. Thompson, 50, of Olympia, was reportedly told he could leave the scene, but elected to stay and wait for someone to retrieve the vehicle, according to court documents
A Centralia Police Department K9 reportedly responded to the scene and alerted to narcotics in the vehicle. Thompson, who was reportedly on federal probation for weapons offenses, was arrested following the K9 alert.
After receiving a search warrant for the vehicle, an officer reportedly located baggies of meth and fentanyl, $729 in cash, two digital scales, a "large amount" of individual baggies, a 9mm handgun, a .380 handgun and a .556 AR-15.
The guns were reportedly fully functional.
In total, an officer found a total of 24.05 grams of suspected meth and 32.61 grams of suspected fentanyl. The officer reportedly noted "the quantities of controlled substances for larger than user amounts."
Camille and Thompson were booked into the Lewis County Jail at 5:10 a.m. on Sept. 29, according to jail records.
They were each charged Monday, Sept. 30, in Lewis County Superior Court with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver. Camille was also charged with one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, while Thompson was charged with one count of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
Arraignment hearings are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3.
