Cheerleader Skylar Richardson avoids prison and is sentenced to PROBATION for burying her baby in her backyard, after being cleared of murder and manslaughter

Cheerleader Skylar Richardson, who buried her baby in her backyard after giving birth in secret, walked free from court on Friday with a probationary sentence despite being told by a judge that she showed a 'grotesque disregard for life'. Richardson had been facing life in prison if convicted of all the charges. They included aggravated murder, manslaughter, gross abuse of a corpse and child endangerment. She has also been charged with tampering with evidence but the judge removed that count during the trial. But after deliberating for around three hours on Thursday, a jury found her not guilty of the most serious charges. Five NYPD cops are injured trying to break-up a massive brawl in Manhattan sparked by teenagers who attacked a cab driver they said ran over their 16-year-old friend

The chaos erupted in Hell's Kitchen, New York, where the teens believed the driver had struck a 16-year-old (left) with his vehicle - video that emerged later would prove otherwise. Footage allegedly shows the teenager running out onto 52nd Street and 8th Avenue, where he then crashes into the taxi on Thursday at around 2.40pm. A large group of students then tried to break into the cab to attack the driver and instead kicked and punched the vehicle, an NYPD spokesperson said. They ignored police orders to stop and disperse, before going onto attack officers (right), five of whom suffered minor injuries. There are currently four Manhattan High School students in custody after being arrested for assault. The shocking scenes show officers being 'collectively go after certain individuals,' one eyewitness said. The person explained that after emergency medical services arrived on the scene some of the student's friend appeared unhappy with the response. Other brawls then began to erupt elsewhere according to Raheem Ford, who said: 'Something escalated over here...Ya' know, a few things popped off in a few areas.' One occurred when students tried to attack cab driver Badal Roy and began jumping on his car.

How a cardiologist's $135,000 credit card bill from a New York strip club he didn't remember visiting helped catch the real-life 'Hustlers' who targeted wealthy men and became the inspiration for Jennifer Lopez's new film

New Jersey cardiologist Dr. Zyad Younan (left) has opened up on how he became a victim of an elaborate scheme run by former New York strippers. The cunning plan involved drugging rich men, taking them to New York strip clubs and swiping their credit cards to steal tens of thousands of dollars. The plan was masterminded by former strippers Samantha Barbash and Roselyn Keo. Strip club employees Karina Pascucci (right) and Marsi Rosen were the go-to women who would lure the wealthy men in. Younan said he went on several dates with Pascucci in 2013 while she was posing as a nursing student. He blacked out on all three of their dates before receiving a $135,000 bill from a New York strip club, which he doesn't remember visiting. The women, who were all arrested in 2014, are the inspiration behind Jennifer Lopez's new film Hustlers (inset).

PIERS MORGAN: Biden's going to be Democrat nominee - which means Trump will be facing off against a rambling, weird, gaffe-prone, senile-looking 78-year-old. No wonder the President's smiling

Joe Biden is the clear front-runner, and was the primary target for friendly fire attack last night, but he's looking and sounding his age, and that's a massive problem for the party that wants to regain power next year. Biden's now 76, will be 77 in November, and 78 when he takes office if he wins the presidency. That would make him the oldest president ever elected to a first term. And whilst I share the widely held view that Biden is a thoroughly decent, intelligent man with decades of Washington experience behind him, there's a very fine line between 'reassuringly experienced', and 'over the hill' electoral road-kill - and he's in serious danger of crossing it.
