UPDATE: Rantoul woman found safe

RANTOUL -- A missing 87-year-old Rantoul woman was found Tuesday morning -- 19 hours after she was last seen.

Lela M. O'Brien, a resident of Eagle's View Supportive Living and Memory Care, was found at 8:30 a.m. on the third floor of the building. She was last seen in the lobby of the building at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Rantoul man accused of trying to take money from register at Urbana restaurant

URBANA -- A Rantoul man is facing charges after allegedly trying to take money from a cash register at a fast-food restaurant.

Ivory Bobo, 57, who listed an address in the 500 block of Eden Park Drive, was arrested Saturday on charges of robbery and aggravated robbery.

Champaign man charged after cocaine, pot found in search of home

URBANA -- A Champaign man is being held at the Champaign County Jail after police said they found him with suspected drugs and drug-packaging materials.

Kevin Antoineo Henry, 30, who listed an address in the 1700 block of Valley Road was charged Friday with one count of felony manufacture or delivery of cocaine and one count of felony possession of a controlled substance.

Urbana police investigating Saturday shooting; no one hurt

URBANA -- Police are investigating an incident where multiple gunshots were fired Saturday evening on Urbana's west side.

According to a police report, at 7:03 p.m. Saturday, two men fired several rounds from handguns at a house in the 800 block of North Romine Street. They also fired at a vehicle before running away.

Nobody was reported injured.

CHAMPAIGN -- Champaign County Crime Stoppers asks the public to help identify two people who shoplifted Thursday in Champaign.

According to a police report, officers were called to Macy's at Market Place Mall, 2000 N. Neil St., at 1:31 p.m. Thursday on a report of shoplifters. Police said two left the store with unpaid-for merchandise valued at $490.

Camera catches two starting fire behind Champaign apartment building

CHAMPAIGN -- The Champaign Police Department has begun investigating a late Saturday night fire after Champaign Fire Department investigators determined the cause was incendiary.

No arrests were reported as of Sunday.

According to a Champaign Fire Department report, firefighters were called to a trash receptacle fire at 509 E. Green St. at 11:56 p.m. Saturday.

URBANA -- A man and a woman from Champaign are in custody after allegedly trying to use someone else's credit card at a local store.

Charnelle Terrell Brown, 36, who listed an address in the 1500 block of Williamsburg Drive, was charged on Wednesday with felony burglary and theft with deceptive practices. His bond was set at $3,000.
