Police arrest two men suspected of dealing drugs in S.F. Tenderloin

By Maliya Ellis, Hearst FellowOct 9, 2024

San Francisco police on Tuesday arrested two men suspected of dealing drugs and seized more than 1.3 kilograms of narcotics, over $45,000 in cash and many disassembled firearms, officials said. San Francisco Police Department

Police arrested two men accused of trafficking narcotics in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood, officials said.

At approximately 11:24 p.m. Tuesday, authorities arrested German Alfred Colindres Estrada, 24, of Oakland, and Jose Colindres Erazo, 22, in the area of 11th and Mission streets, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

At the scene, a K-9 officer found illegal narcotics in Estrada's backpack, police said. In Estrada's vehicle, parked nearby at 11th and Howard streets, officers found a concealed, loaded semi-automatic pistol, police said.

Police searched Estrada's Oakland home and found about $45,000 in cash and more than 1.3 kilograms of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, prescription pills and cocaine, they said. Authorities also seized ammunition, disassembled firearms, a large hydraulic press and press plates, and evidence of cutting agents used to inflate the volume of narcotics products, police said.

Authorities obtained search warrants for Estrada's home and vehicle as part of a four-month-long investigation into a known Tenderloin narcotics trafficker, police said.

Estrada and Erazo were both booked into the San Francisco County Jail on multiple charges, including carrying a concealed firearm, criminal conspiracy and several counts of possession for sale of controlled substances. Estrada was also booked on charges of committing a felony while on bail or release, police said.

Police are still investigating, and anyone with relevant information is asked to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.
